What Lies Ahead of You
What Lies Ahead of You
Life
can be so frustrating when you don’t know your purpose or place in the
world. Not knowing where you belong or
understanding your worth can take a huge toll on your life ahead of you. The world and everyone around you can seem so
cold so you walk all sorts of directions in life. Waiting for answers can lead you into making
some of the worst mistakes of your life, and once you’ve hit rock bottom…you
can also lose yourself.
The
photo is to influence those who are putting their life at risk to follow their
own footsteps without letting anyone else walk their shoes. The beautiful outdoors inspires a colleague
of mine to take a few days off of work to spend in the wilderness to find
guidance when he felt uncertain about certain circumstances that were occurring
in his life. At first it seemed as
though that maybe my colleague was depressed because he was easily frustrated. This had lead me to a great concern into why
my colleague would go into the wilderness alone. As a friend who knew absolutely nothing about
their colleague, my observation was just a blur.
Upon
my colleagues return, it was like our friend was refreshed from all of the
frustrations. Going into the wilderness
when the world seemed as if it were crumbling gave him the opportunity to place
himself in a new, healthy environment.
The beauty of the outdoors gave a new breeze to inhale fresh air and
exhale the old air that was in much need of being released. Being alone meant that you were able to
conquer your fear of being independent, to gain confidence in moving forward. It was obvious that he was able to appreciate
what he had and that the benefit of going into the wilderness with nothing but
the clothes on his back helped him regain the strength to survive in society.
Learning
of this new technique, it is obvious that when the world feels so cold and like
everything is upside down your inner being is crying out for you to make the
right decisions. When you lose control,
follow your intuition to take on your battles and go with the flow. We must remember to maintain our mentality
and to refrain from risky temptations that can be a burden. It is important to be thankful for the life
you were blessed to walk because there are no instructions that tell you what
lies ahead.
